We're thrilled to announce a remarkable achievement from one of our talented Level 1 adult fashion students, Caron Mcluckie. Caron has recently been awarded the prestigious title of Fashion Pioneer for her outstanding work in the industry.

...

Her journey to success began with a personal experience that ignited a passion for creating accessible clothing for disabled individuals. Following a life-changing event involving her son, Emile, who had a spinal cord stroke. Caron embarked on a mission to make a difference.

...

Driven by a desire to improve the lives of people like Emile, she founded Bealies Adaptivewear, a company dedicated to designing adaptive clothing that prioritises comfort and accessibility for wheelchair users. Her innovative designs have earned her well-deserved recognition, culminating in the recent designer award.

...

Reflecting on her journey, Caron shares, " I decided to enrol on a fashion course, to learn the theory behind designing/pattern cutting. The course has been great as I can work at my own pace and learn how to construct a garment and understand how the garment fits together.  This will help me in designing my products to ensure a better fit." Caron also praises her course tutor, Karen Monaghan and classmates: “Karen is very knowledgeable, and we have a lovely group of women from all different backgrounds working together.”

...

Her success not only highlights her talent and dedication but also underscores the value of education in nurturing creativity and expertise. Here at Salford City College Group, we are immensely proud to be a part of her journey and commend Caron for her remarkable achievement.
