Fashion and Textiles – Sewing and Textiles (Level 2)

Outline

The course will develop a range of increasingly advanced skills in fashion and textiles, with students working in more complex pattern cutting and garment construction scenarios beyond the creation of more basic garment types.

Progression

Assessment

The course is entirely practical and you will be assessed through the completion of a series of more advanced garment design and construction tasks set by an experienced tutor. Although challenging, you will receive clear step by step support in developing a more diverse portfolio of practical work that will showcase your more advacned fashion and textiles skills.

Entry Requirements

We would normally expect students to have completed the Level 1 award in Fashion and Textiles. However our tutors might determine that you have enough practical or industry experience to come straight on to this Level 2 course. You will need to be able to take on the challenges of creating multiple garments types involving a range of possible construction techniques.
