When & How to Enrol Aged 19+

It’s not too late to enrol with Salford City College Group. Please contact Admissions on 0161 631 5050 or enrol@salfordcc.ac.uk to schedule your dedicated enrolment appointment.

Enrolment is the simple process we take to make you a fully-fledged student. It allows us to snap a quick picture for your new Student ID card and ensure you’ve chosen the course that is right for you.

You will need to bring the following with you to your enrolment appointment:

· Identification (e.g. Passport, Birth Certificate)
· Method of payment (if your course is not fully funded and are paying the fees yourself)
· Proof of any benefits that you receive
· Passport and National Insurance Number (if you are applying for the Advanced Learner Loan)
· Certificates of any qualifications you already have

Advanced Learner Loans
The Advanced Learner Loan is for those studying on a Level 3 or higher qualification. For guidance on making an application please see Financial Support – University Centre at Salford City College (salfordcc.ac.uk). If you are paying for your course via an Advanced Learner Loan, please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that your student loan is in place. If you have already applied for your Advanced Learner Loan please bring your ‘notification of entitlement’ letter to enrolment. If you have not yet received this notification, you must provide evidence that you have fully completed the application process.

Student Financial Support
You may also be eligible for financial support from one of the following three funds:

· 19+ Bursary This bursary is for students aged 19 and over who struggle financially with the cost of attending College. If the student’s household income (all adults that live in their home who have financial responsibility for them) is less than £30,000 before tax, and they are studying over 12 hours per week, then the student may be eligible to receive up to £15.00 per week.

· 20+ Childcare Funding Childcare funding is available for students aged 19 and over who are studying on a full-time course and have a household income of less that £30,000 before tax. The maximum paid is £50.00 for a full day and £25.00 for a half day. Only Ofsted registered care providers may be used.

· Advanced Learner Loan Bursary This bursary is for students who have taken out an Advanced Learner Loan to pay for their course. Payment is based on 100% attendance on College premises. Depending on their household income the student will be eligible for £10.00-£60.00 per week.

For more information on any of these funds and to check your eligibility, please see our Financial Support Guidance Booklet available on the College website www.salfordcc.ac.uk/policies-proceedures. For further information on how to apply, please contact Student Services on 0161 631 5000.

Please note, some of our courses which require specialist facilities may fill-up during the enrolment process, where this does happen our teachers will be on hand to support you in finding an alternative course.
