Outline

• Film trailers
• Magazine and poster design using Photoshop and text tools 
• Studio photography to create magazine ready shots
• Film sequences using Premiere Pro and After Effects
• Making film and radio SFX
• Animation including 2D and 3D
• Radio production with the opportunity to make your own radio show
• TV advertising including the codes and conventions of selling on TV
• Music videos with green screen

Progression

Students can progress with us to study a foundation degree in Media Production at our University Centre or a Creative and Digital Apprenticeship with Apprenticeships at Salford City College. Alternatively, students can progress to study an undergraduate course at a university of their choice or progress to employment.

Entry Requirements

Level 1 Vocational Courses: Students are required to have grade 1s/2s at GCSE. Level 2 Vocational Courses: Students are required to have a minimum of four grade 3s at GCSE. Level 3 Vocational Courses: Students are required to have achieved a minimum of five grade 4s at GCSE, which must include either English or Maths. Additional Information: For Level 2 Vocational Courses, we will consider 2 Vocationals, ideally one to be in a related subject. For Level 3 Vocational Courses, we will consider 1 Vocational qualification in place of a GCSE as long as a grade 4 is achieved in English.

Don’t let the cost of studying put you off – most of our students study for FREE, and those who don’t qualify for funding are very often eligible for an Advanced Learner Loan.
