About the role
The ESOL department at Salford City College is committed to inspiring and developing students who are speakers of other languages, to extend their knowledge, skills and understanding of the English language and British culture. Our aim is to maximise students’ potential by improving their communication, literacy, and life skills, enabling students to become confident and independent contributors to modern British society. An opportunity has arisen for a qualified, enthusiastic and skilled ESOL Teacher to join our busy team. We welcome applicants with a proven track record of outstanding academic success and with the ability to teach students up to Level 2 of mixed abilities across our 16-18 and adult courses. Candidates may also be asked to teach IT and Maths skills to students. We are seeking individuals with excellent subject knowledge, who can demonstrate an ability to combine a strong classroom presence with excellent student achievement. Candidates must possess a genuine interest in the subject area, be student focused, have a relevant subject degree and have an appropriate postgraduate qualification. Candidates may also be asked to teach IT and Maths skills to students.
