About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an outstanding individual to support in the leadership of the Pastoral team as Deputy Head of Pastoral Support. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering outstanding support for students including appropriate and effective response to safeguarding concerns.
Innovative in your approach, you will seek to assure and improve the student experience including the development and implementation of a tutorial programme that is responsive to learner needs and interests. You will collaborate with the Head of Pastoral Support to continually monitor student performance and develop strategies to motivate and engage students that are aligned to the College’s mission and values, behaviour standards and local targets as set by the college leadership team.
The successful candidate will be solution focused with outstanding record keeping skills. You will be able to demonstrate an excellent history of effective communication with a wide range of professionals and stakeholders in the interest of motivating and safeguarding learners. With a passion for wellbeing, you will collaborate with colleagues to design and implement fully inclusive enrichment and celebration events throughout the academic year and will promote these as the facilitator of the student council.
