About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Centre Principal to lead one of our Colleges within the SCC Group. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will oversee all aspects of college operations, ensuring excellence in curriculum delivery, quality standards, and student experience. As a highly visible leader, you will represent the College to students, parents, and stakeholders, driving forward strategic priorities and fostering a culture of innovation and achievement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership as part of the Senior Leadership Team.
• Oversee performance across key operational areas, including compliance, attendance, retention, academic results, and budget management.
• Lead and develop a team of Heads of Department and Heads of Pastoral Studies.
• Drive innovative curriculum strategies for 16–19 study programmes, adult learning, and higher education.
• Manage curriculum budgets and capital spending aligned with the College’s strategic plan.
• Produce and monitor Self-Assessment Reports and quality improvement actions.
• Represent the College in internal and external forums on curriculum, quality, and safeguarding matters.

About You

We are looking for a visionary leader with:
• A proven track record in teaching and management within the FE sector.
• Experience in leading change, managing curriculum at Levels 1–3, and achieving outstanding learner outcomes.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
• A degree and a teaching qualification (postgraduate and management qualifications desirable).
• Commitment to safeguarding, equality, diversity, and inclusion.
