After an exciting game it took twenty-one penalties to separate the quarter finalists

The Pendleton side into the quarter-finals of the knockout cup undefeated this season. The team is in high confidence and tat confidence showed over the first half an hour, the home side dominated the game and took the lead 20 minutes in after superb past from second year Abdu Ahmed, which  set Pendleton top goal scorer, Alfa Duru, one V one with the keeper, in these situations he never misses and calmly slotted the ball home. The side had two more chances to go two or three goals up but the Greenhead keeper pulled off two excellent saves to keep his side in the game. These saves proved huge, as just before halftime the away side found room out wide, delivered a pinpoint cross to the opposite winger who tapped in from the 6 yard box to take both sides into the break even. The second half both teams had chances to win the game, but couldn’t find the back of the net meaning both sides took to penalties. Each team showed excellent technique and a strong mentality and neither look like missing, Pendleton keeper, Jaylen McCaffery managed to get his hand to two penalties but could only tip them onto the inside of the post. During the second round of penalties unfortunately one team had to miss and that was a Pendleton player. Though the result is disappointing, the side is still unbeaten over 90 minutes this season and are in a commanding position in the league.
