In October Level 1 ICT and Level 2 Games Design students from FutureSkills at MediaCityUK enjoyed a fantastic two weeks working alongside the National Citizen Service.

Designed especially for 16 and 17 year olds, the NCS experience aims to give young people a clearer idea of what they want from their future. Turning all those 'No You Cant's' into No We Can.

At the event, there was a mixture of personal development activities, as well as the chance to explore new skills.

There were many great mentors taking place in the sessions, with many notable names also being present. Students had the chance to talk to Adam Corbally from the apprentice, Barclays, UD Ogbo on Money for life, Shelter, Ed from SUMO, RHS and many more.

Head of IT, Computing and Games, Lee Chadwick, said: “Thank you to our Friends at NCS and Salford Foundation, all partners who worked so hard with our students Elaine, Zakkiya & Sufyaan – as well as the ICG and support teams.”
