12 March 2020

On Tuesday, over 100 students at Eccles Sixth Form College participated in the college’s first ever ‘Colour Run’ event.   The event was planned, organised and delivered by a Level 3 Sport class, supported by the Sport and Public Services Level 1 learners.   “It was fantastic to see so many different departments coming together to participate in physical activity at Eccles Sixth Form College. We hope that the positive attitude and effort demonstrated during the event can be mirrored during our Sport Relief Fitness Challenge, taking place all day on Thursday 12th March, in the Fitness Suite at Eccles.”   The students taking part completed a three-mile circuit in aid of the Rainbow Trust. They are the leading organisation in providing emotional and practical support to families who have a child with a life threatening or terminal illness.
Adrian added: “Thank you to everyone who participated and donated; anyone who wishes to donate, please contact adrian.thorrington@salfordcc.ac.uk. All proceeds go to Rainbow Trust Charity.”
