Salford City College Group is proud to announce another year of exceptional A-Level results, with students achieving a 99% pass rate and a marked increase in A* grades, particularly in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), Humanities and Creative subjects.

This year’s results not only reflect the hard work and ambition of individual students but also demonstrate the College’s continued commitment to academic excellence and innovation. The College Group continues to be a beacon of opportunity and achievement for young people across Salford and Greater Manchester.

Rebecca Parks, Group Principal, said: “We are immensely proud of our students and all they have accomplished. A-Levels are academically demanding, and our learners have risen to the challenge with determination and resilience. These outstanding results showcase the breadth of talent and aspiration within our student community.”

This year’s success is further emphasised by the College’s recognition at national level, having won two prestigious Association of Colleges Beacon Awards, one for outstanding support for students and another for excellence in employment engagement, marking the end of a truly remarkable year.”

Among the many success stories are students who have secured places at leading universities to study subjects ranging from Medicine to History to Bio-Chemistry, with a number of learners progressing to Oxford and Cambridge.

Maya Kabour achieved an outstanding two A* grades in Biology and Mathematics, as well as a grade A in Chemistry. Maya will now be going to the University of Oxford to study Medicine.

The star student said: “My teachers were very supportive and encouraging when I was studying for my A-levels and applying for my university course. I am so grateful to Pendleton Sixth Form College and look forward to starting my Degree studies at Oxford in September.”

George Clark-Clouston, who chose to study at Pendleton Sixth Form College (part of Salford City College Group) because of its notably outstanding progression, accomplished an impressive set of results, which include an A* in Mathematics, an A in Further Maths, a B in Physics and a Distinction Star in Engineering. George now looks forward to studying Mathematics at the University of Manchester in September.

Gracie Galvin has equally inspiring results and is now progressing onto a Master’s in Civil Engineering (MEng) at Queen’s University Belfast, having achieved three A* grades in Mathematics, Geography and Photography, as well as an A grade in Further Maths (AS). Gracie said: “I enjoyed studying at Pendleton Sixth Form College, my friends and teachers were really supportive and encouraged me with my studies.”
