Ahead of World Cultures Day on Tuesday, May 21st, students from Pendleton Sixth Form College celebrated their culture as part of the College’s annual Cultures Day celebrations. Held every year on May 21st, the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development celebrates not only the richness of the world’s cultures but also the essential role of intercultural dialogue for achieving peace and sustainable development.

..

Sinead Goodwin, Head of Pastoral Studies at the College, commented, “Pendleton Sixth Form College is a place where all students can achieve their full potential. We value diversity and see education as an opportunity to share and celebrate different cultures and experiences.”

..

World Culture Day is about understanding and learning about different cultures. It brings an awareness in celebrating and respecting the differences that come with any cultural background. World Culture Day is a great chance to give those a platform in the workplace to share more about their family background and traditions.
