Throughout the course, students will cover a range of core topics including:

  • Digital technologies and their use within business
  • Cyber security principles and risk management
  • Data analysis and digital environments
  • Ethical and legal requirements within the digital sector
  • Project management and professional practice
  • Cloud technologies and digital infrastructure

Students will also specialise in Digital Support and Security, focusing on maintaining secure systems, diagnosing faults, and supporting users within modern IT environments.

As part of the programme, students will complete a minimum 315-hour industry placement with an employer. This provides valuable hands-on experience and allows students to apply their knowledge in a professional setting while developing employability skills.

During the course, students will build skills in:

  • Maintaining secure and reliable IT systems
  • Technical problem solving and fault resolution
  • Understanding digital infrastructure and cloud technologies
  • Communication and professional working practices

Entry Requirements

Students are required to have achieved 5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or higher, including English language and Maths.
