Life sciences courses have been designed to offer a strong sector-related emphasis on practical skills development. Students will study at Eccles Sixth Form College, which has recently undertaken significant development via millions of pounds of investment to ensure our facilities are state-of-the-art. At Eccles Sixth Form College we have over 250 species, including both domestic and exotic animals. This gives our students access to a diverse selection of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, and fish to enhance the curriculum. Some of the exciting new additions include common marmosets, white naped cranes, capybara, alpaca, striped skunk, tarantula, Asian water dragons, pygmy goats, and many more. The career opportunities that follow such varied courses might include working in animal science, pet care, for an animal charity, animal training, animal health industries, and animal grooming. The course gives toy endless career prospects depending on your interests that can include veterinary work, zoo keeping, animal retail and working for animal charities.
