Pendleton students studying Business and Economics as part of the Career Ready programme recently visited the iconic HOST for an inspiring workplace experience.

The visit, organised by Salford City Council, gave students the opportunity to explore the creative and digital industries in one of the region’s most innovative spaces.

Throughout the day, students took part in a range of engaging activities, including creating content for Unity Radio, experiencing the cutting-edge esports gaming

facilities and stepping inside the immersive Igloo - a 360-degree interactive environment designed to push the boundaries of digital storytelling.

A particular highlight of the trip was meeting DJ Basha, a former Future Skills student who is now building a successful career in the industry, offering students a real-life example of where their own ambitions could take them.

The visit formed part of the college’s ongoing commitment to providing students with meaningful employer engagement and valuable insight into future career pathways.
