At the University Centre, we are a family. We take pride in our community and encourage the success of everyone who is a part of our team, from students and staff, to our extensive network of partners and employers.
From the moment you step through the door at the beginning of your course until the day you graduate, and beyond, you are nurtured, given unique opportunities, and motivated to achieve in all you do with us.
Our teaching staff will mentor you throughout your educational journey and help you make the most of your time with us. Their expertise and professional experience will be the basis of your learning and their connections with industry will provide you with the essential, real-life skills and knowledge you will need to accomplish your career goals.
Our excellent industry links also mean that you will receive the latest information and expertise directly from the sector. This could be in the form of on-site visits, guest speakers, work experience placements, or professional masterclasses, to name just some of the incredible opportunities you will be given. We have recently worked with the BBC, Kellogg’s, ITV and many more companies, utilising our close proximity to MediaCityUK, as well as our staff contacts.
On top of this, our facilities are designed to ensure your skills meet the requirements of your chosen sector. Whether your passion is for music, media or marketing, we have an abundance of state-of-the-art-facilities, including studios, rehearsal rooms, and MAC suites to prepare you for industry.
Our partner facilities have had multi-million pounds worth of investment. At Pendleton Sixth Form College, we have a modern, vibrant, and newly refurbished graphic design studio, plus two renowned theatres. At Eccles Sixth Form College we have a four-acre indoor and outdoor animal centre, housing up to 250 species, and a Centre of Excellence for Sport, which is closely linked to the Manchester United Foundation. We have access to these facilities, plus many more across the city.
Our modern University Centre is situated in the heart of MediaCityUK, making it the perfect destination for socialising, eating out, and experiencing both Manchester and Salford’s rich and diverse culture.
