About the Role
Salford City College are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated individual to train and qualify with us to deliver Groundworks and Construction to learners at our City Skills Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for a tradesperson to teach their trade to the next generation with a full programme of support available to launch your career in this rewarding role. You will be joining a team of people committed to supporting learners to achieve outstanding outcomes in a fast-growing sector. The successful candidate will bring their industry knowledge and experience to inspire and train our learners equipping them with the latest skills and techniques.
The individual should have a passion for transforming the lives of young people within education and will be able to inspire and encourage those who are training in the construction and groundworks industry. The Building Services department has an excellent reputation and high success rates leading to continued growth, with Groundworks a particular growth area within the college. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to help further develop the department and work closely with our partners to ensure the delivery is in line with the needs of Industry.
Candidates should have experience within the Construction and Groundworks industry and be suitably qualified within this industry. Teaching experience is not essential but this role would be ideal for a tradesperson who has experience in mentoring and training staff and/or apprentices, or has a keen interest in this and wants to develop it further. You will be supported to ensure you obtain all the skills required to become a teacher.

About the Role
Salford City College require a motivated, pro-active and suitably qualified Trainer/Assessor to deliver and assess on full apprenticeship programmes and work-based learning courses for learners working in Health and Social Care roles. You will be joining a team of people who are committed to supporting learners to achieve outstanding outcomes in a fast-growing sector, delivering and assessing Standards up to Level 5. About the Role
All our college sites require several Invigilators to work on a casual basis to assist in Vocational course exams. Duties will include;- To assist in the examination invigilation process and ensure JCQ guidelines/regulations for the integrity and security of examination papers and procedures are followed.

About the Role
Salford City College have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed trainer/assessor to join our dynamic apprenticeship delivery team. This permanent position is ideally suited to someone with a heating and ventilation industrial-commercial installation or planned and reactive maintenance background who wants to advance their career in a busy and supportive workplace.As part of the building services engineering delivery team, you will work closely with colleagues, employers and apprentices to ensure that apprentices have an outstanding learning experience, successfully achieve their apprenticeship journey and advance within their chosen career.
The responsibilities of the job include meeting with stakeholders both virtually and in-person, providing relevant information and guidance on the apprenticeship journey, supporting apprentices to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours, undertaking site-based assessments, reviewing progress with employers and apprentices, maintaining accurate records, identifying new apprenticeship opportunities and helping the team to reach and exceed ambitious agreed targets.
The ideal candidate for this role will have relevant industry experience and qualifications, experience of supporting apprentices undertaking installer, craftsperson or service and maintenance engineer route, strong communication and customer service skills, and an assessor qualification. A teaching, training or IQA qualification and a knowledge of e-portfolio systems would also be beneficial.
