Health & Social Care (Vocational)
This course is designed to cover a range of topics providing you with the
knowledge and skills required for a career or further study in the healthcare or
social care sector. Our highly qualifi ed and experienced teaching, team ensure
that all students have upto-date access to a wide range of expertise and
specialisms. Many of our teachers are dual professionals having worked in areas
and roles such as nursing, counselling, safeguarding, and care home
You will study a range of units that cover all aspects across the health and social care sectors. You will study modules such as physiological disorders, working in the health sector, dealing with challenging behaviour, caring for children and young people, and caring for individuals with additional needs all of which will provide you with the skills, knowledge, and insight needed to succeed in this rapidly changing and diverse sector.
All students complete placements as part of their course to ensure they have the opportunity to experience day-to-day life in health and care roles.

Studying this qualifi cation can lead to a wide range of potential career options in the health sector. Many of our students progress into higher level study and past students have enjoyed successful careers in nursing, dental nursing, occupational therapy, midwifery, health visiting, radiography, physiotherapy, counselling, or as dietitians. Alternatively, you may enter a career in youth work.
