This Vocational A-level combines the theoretical aspects of sport, with practical skills development. You will study a variety of topics, which will equip you with the necessary knowledge and skills to progress onto Higher Education or employment in the sector.

Outline

This course covers a range of topics, such as anatomy and physiology for sport and exercise, psychology for sport and exercise, fitness training and programming, sports nutrition and sports.

Entry Requirements

For advanced Vocational courses, students are required to have five grade 4s at GCSE, which must include English and mathematics.

Progression

Many of our students progress on to university to study subjects such as sports injuries, coaching and development, leisure and the fitness industry, sports management and media. A growing number of students choose to stay with us and complete a HNC/D in Sport and Exercise Science.
