Criminology (Vocational A-Level)

This Vocational A-level is designed for 16–18 year olds who want to access further study in the area of criminal justice. The Diploma in Criminology will give you an in-depth knowledge and understanding of concepts linked to the criminal justice system. It is designed to be studied alongside other Vocational A-levels and compliments many combinations. 

Outline

You will explore many areas including the changing awareness of crime, criminological theories, crime scene to courtroom, and crime and punishment. Each topic provides students with an introduction to criminal justice and the social humanities sector.

Entry Requirements

For advanced Vocational courses, students are required to have five grade 4s at GCSE, which must include English and mathematics.

Progression

Students who achieve this qualification progress onto study at university. The course is particularly suitable for degrees in youth work, criminology, law, humanities, human rights, social policy, probation, social work, psychology, or sociology.
