Creative Media (Vocational)
Do you want to produce a radio advert? Or perhaps a TV show? Do you want to put your ideas into action? If you are a creative individual and have a passion for film making, producing and generating projects from media briefs then our creative media course is the pathway for you. Our courses provide an excellent foundation in media production. You will be taught a broad range of skills to progress into higher education or the creative media industry. They will provide you with the creative, digital and practical skills required to compete in a fast paced and ever growing industry. You will learn how to engage with a variety of audiences and learn how to produce work which appeals to them through a selection of resources. We offer high quality facilities including a broadcasting suite and TV studio plus our industry standard software will enable you to produce work to an outstanding quality. Your studies will include a wide range of media related projects and techniques. These include multi-camera production, radio programming, presenting techniques, social action documentaries, TV advertising, web design and animation, music video, film studies and photography. You will also have the opportunity to be part of our production company, college radio station and the Career Academy Programme in Professional Media.

- Film sequences using Premiere Pro and After Effects
- Making film and radio SFX
- Animation including 2D and 3D
- Radio production with the opportunity to make your own radio show
- TV advertising including the codes and conventions of selling on TV
- Music videos with green screen
Entry Requirements
5 Grade 4s/Cs at GCSE and grade 4 and
above in English or mathematics <br/> Grades E/Fs or 1/2s at GCSE<br/> 4 Grade 3s/Ds at GCSE
Progression
Students can progress with us to study a foundation degree in Media Production at our University Centre or a Creative and Digital Apprenticeship with Apprenticeships at Salford City College. Alternatively, students can progress to study an undergraduate course at a university of their choice or progress to employment.
