Plastering (Vocational)

Do you want to provide a helping hand in restoring old buildings? Or maybe you want to assist in the completion of multi-million-pound housing developments? Plastering is an essential skill for the construction industry, whether you become self-employed, a business owner or work for a leading company. Our course will provide you with the knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in the trade.



Level 1: Health, safety and welfare in construction, principles of building construction, information and communication, preparing background surfaces and mixing plastering materials, applying scratch coats to internal backgrounds, fixing sheet materials, applying floating and setting coats to wall.

1/2s at GCSE


This course can lead you directly into a career in plastering. You might also choose to study another construction related course at level 2 to broaden your skillset and knowledge. On completion of a level 1 course your pathway might include completing a course in professional construction or alternatively a route into an apprenticeship.
