Psychology BSc (Hons) (Level 6)
Ever wondered how the human brain works? What causes criminal behaviour? How it can be prevented?
Psychology is the scientific study of human mind, its functions, and, specifically, how it affects our behaviour, Criminology involves analysing crime and nonconformity and explores everything from the nature of criminal justice systems to the role the media plays on crime, the causes of crime, and victimisation. Humanities and social sciences will allow you to discover the behaviour of many individuals in human society and how their culture influences their behaviour.
These subjects open up a variety of pathways and advantageous careers. An experienced psychologist can earn anything up to £60,000 per year with qualified police constables earning up to £40, 000 per year. Other careers include being a social worker, therapist, criminologist, forensic examiner, or occupational therapist.
You will also be given desirable employability skills, which include critical thinking, analytical, and communication techniques to ensure you succeed in your chosen post-graduate field. You’ll be invited to learn about a range of exciting and important topics, from aggression, child protection, criminal justice, and human rights to the science of psychology, dependant on which course you choose to study.
