Access to Professions in Business Management (Level 3)

This course provides an excellent foundation for those who wish to study a broad range of business related university courses. It offers an appropriate blend of units and practical study skills. The course is delivered by highly experienced tutors and you can expect to receive extensive support throughout your academic journey. Alongside the taught content you will attend talks from industry guest speakers, supporting the student experience. Past students are available to advise and share their experiences of the Access course and beyond. This year has seen our students secure places on the Degree course of their choice. Students have gone on to study Business, Law, Accountancy and even Sports related courses


15 graded units consisting of; Business management structures, Business organisations, Marketing, Motivating staff, Sustainability, Entrepreneurship, Business ideas and start-ups, Managing conflict, Recruitment and selection, Contract law, Employment law, Negligence, Business financial planning, Management accounting and Business ethics. 5 ungraded units consisting of; ICT Advanced word processing, Research skills, Academic essay writing, Presentation skills and Applying to HE UCAS.


Successful completion of your course will enable progression onto undergraduate study at university or a HNC/HND qualification. Many of our students progress to Russell group universities.


Your course will be assessed through written reports and assignments, presentations and exams.
Assignments will be submitted via the college VLE

Entry Requirements

GCSE grade C/4 or above in both maths and english (or equivalent inc L2 Functional Skills)
