Fees and Finance
GOVERNMENT FUNDING
You may be eligible to study for free. This depends on your age, employment status, the course you wish to study and your current qualifications. If you do not hold a work-related level 3 qualification, you could be eligible to study a fully-funded level 3 qualification under the Lifetime Skills Guarantee. For more information, please call us on 0161 631 5050 or speak with a member of staff at enrolment.
ADVANCED LEARNER LOANS
Dependent on age and previous qualifications, your access course may be fully funded. Advanced Learner Loans are available to individuals who are aged 19+ and who are studying certain qualifications at Level 3 to Level 6. If you fall into this category, you may be eligible to apply to the Student Loans Company for an Advanced Learner Loan to cover the cost of your tuition fee. Repayments are linked to what you earn and not how much you have borrowed. Repayments start once you have finished your course and are earning over £25,725 a year. Information about the Advanced Learner Loans is available online at: www.gov.uk/advancedlearningloans.
STUDENT FINANCE ENGLAND
Full-Time, Higher Education students can apply for a tuition fee loan of up to £9,250 per year and a maintenance loan of up to £8,700 per year, depending on household income. You will not start re-paying the loan until the April after graduation and when you start earning over £364 a week or £1,577 a month, and it will only be a small percentage of your monthly wage. For information, advice and guidance students can visit www.gov.uk/student-finance or call 0161 631 5667.
EMPLOYER SPONSORS
If your employer accepts responsibility for payment of your fees and wishes to pay upon receipt of an invoice from the College (we will require an official purchase order). Without a purchase order, the student will be liable for the payment of any outstanding fees at the point of enrolment.
STUDENT FINANCIAL SUPPORT
In order to support you during your studies, we may be able to offer you a bursary to help you with the cost of attending college. You may also be entitled to a free lunch every day as well as help with other course costs such as equipment.
