We are thrilled to announce Neil Bennett, Head of the Centre of Excellence for Performing Arts, has been awarded a Lifetime Achievement award.

This achievement, awarded by Pearson as part of their National Teaching Awards, recognises those who have dedicated their lives to the teaching profession. A professional organist, Neil was awarded a scholarship at Chetham's School of Music, going on to study at Cambridge University. He began his professional career as a conductor of choirs and orchestras, directing at The Players' Theatre in London's West End.

Joining Pendleton Sixth Form College as Head of the Centre of Excellence for Performing Arts, Neil has had a significant impact on our students throughout his career while teaching at Pendleton Sixth Form College.
