Trinity Business Training’s Former Pre-Employment Student Wins Award!
Former Trinity Business Training student Phylis Ziswa has been presented with an award in recognition of her dedication to learning and development. The ceremony was held by Health Education North West to celebrate Adult Learner’s Week, where Phylis was presented with the award for ‘first steps into employment in health and social care’.
Phylis studied the Pre-Employment course in Health and Social Care, a course designed to provide a package of qualifications that improve your chances of finding work by providing sector specific skills that can be applied to the workplace.
Through the course, Phylis developed the knowledge for a Level 1 Diploma, acquired food safety and first aid training, and received a 10 week placement at Salford Royal Hospital where she secured full employment as a clinical support worker.
As well as her role at Salford Royal, Phylis also acts as a community champion and actively encourages others to take the first steps back into learning and work.
