Aarty has gained experience babysitting for family and friends in addition to completing a work placement in a nursery setting during Year 10 High School. She is very creative and enjoys art and music. She enjoys working with children and would like to complete the Apprenticeship programme to progress her career within the sector. Aarty is a pleasant and friendly young person with a positive personality.

Adam R – STL – Tyldesley

Adam has gained experience working with children in sports settings. This has included coaching and planning, organising and delivering an event for children with special educational needs. He is well versed in planning, delivering and evaluating activities for children and can transfer the knowledge that he has gained whilst coaching into a classroom setting. He is a confident and enthusiastic young man with excellent communication skills.

Aleena has completed works experience in a day care centre for 2 weeks during her High School work experience in Year 10. She is confident in working with children and would like to work with children with SEN in a Primary School setting in the future. Aleena feels that she is confident in working with others; possess good communication skills and is reliable and punctual.

Caitlyn is a happy young girl with a bubbly personality and has the ability to progress rapidly onto an apprenticeship and create a better future for herself. She is a very motivated individual who is very determined to get to university. Although she does lack experience, Caitlyn has completed her L2 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care BTEC and is keen to begin an apprenticeship to develop a career in Childcare.

Deepak is a friendly and polite young lady who is extremely keen to gain the hands on experience that is available via an Apprenticeship. She is dedicated and hard working and enjoys taking part in creative activities. She has five siblings so has gained experience working with younger children. Her interest in childcare stemmed from work experience that she completed at Kings Road Primary School. Deepak is very ambitious and enjoys meeting new people and understands the importance of making children feel comfortable and safe. She would be recommended for all opportunities in the sector.

Elle is currently enrolled on a Level 2 full time Childcare course and is due to start placements in late October/ Early November. He has gained experience babysitting for family and friends but is keen to complete an Apprenticeship to gain both experience and qualifications in a nursery setting.

Gemma H – HSC – Swinton

Gemma has completed her Level 3 BTEC Diploma in Health and Social Care at Salford City College. She has also gained experience working in care home settings and most recently in a charity shop. She has a good knowledge of the sector and has worked alongside an activity coordinator to provide support for residents and meet their individual needs. Gemma is a very patient and pleasant manner and would be recommended for any opportunity that is available in the care sector.

Kaine P – STL – Stockport

Kaine is a polite and enthusiastic individual with a passion to work in education. He is confident and enjoys talking to new people  and helping others. He has experience in working in a number of different environments including office, retail and bar work. He enjoys organising and helping with events and projects. Kaine has helped out at charity events and used to help out at an after school club. He has good communication and listening skills and plays in a band in his spare time. He has a cousin who is on the autistic spectrum and has done research into helping learners with ASD.

Molly has recently moved from Bradford to Tameside and is now living in Dukinfield. From a young age, Molly has wanted to work with children. She completed a course in childcare in high school and volunteered over the summer at a before and after school club. It is here that she gained experience working with children across a range of ages, completing arts and crafts, outdoor activities and baking. Molly’s long term ambition is to become a nursery manager and aims to gain both experience and qualifications via the Apprenticeship to help her to achieve this goal.

Natasha has previously studied hairdressing at college and after completion she went straight into the working environment. Natasha’s passion for working within the care sector when she went to help her mum in the care home she works in, she thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the residents and Natasha is now keen to progress and build herself a long career within the care environment.

Rosie has been a full time mum for the last 2 years and is now in a position where she can pursue an Apprenticeship working in a nursery setting. She has been keen to pursue opportunities in this sector since having her own child, developing skills and experience that would make her an effective candidate working in the sector. She is very creative, patient, she also has an understanding of children’s needs and development. Her long term goal is to continue to progress within a career working with children, as a manager or supervisor.

Sophie D – HSC – Salford

Sophie is a very polite and pleasant young lady who has excellent communication and interpersonal skills. From the age of 9 she has cared for her Grandmother and most recently her Grandfather, gaining experience with personal care routines and completing awareness training with Safeguarding and Dignity in Care. She is in the process of completing her level 3 full time course in Health and Social Care at Salford City College. Whilst on programme she has completed a work placement at St Phillips Primary School, working with the Teaching Assistants in planning and supervising classroom and break time activities.
