University of Bolton fees
The College offers a Foundation Degree in Early Years Childhood studies, a BA(Hons) Professional Development in Education (subject to validation)
and PGDE/PDE programme in partnership with the University of Bolton.
All fees are payable to the University of Bolton. Fees for new students joining Bolton programmes at the College in 2012/13 are as follows:

The fee for continuing students (who joined there programme before September 2012) will be £298 per 20 credits.
Student Finance England tuition fee loan
From 2012/13 new rules apply to the financial support that students starting a programme of study can access.
Part time students can now apply for a tuition fee loan to help them manage the cost of fees. New part time students studying at least 30 credits
each year can apply for a loan in that year to cover course fees for up to 90 credits of study.
Part time students only start repaying their loan when they are earning more than £21,000. As a new student repayments begin in the April four
years after you start your course. This applies even if you're still studying. Students can pay back all or some of their loan at any time without incurring

Benefits for higher education students with low incomes
Part time students on a low income may be eligible for benefits, including Income Support, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit. Allowances
are dependent on your personal circumstances such as your income and any savings you may have.
If you’re already claiming income-related benefits and want to start a Higher Education course, you should ask Jobcentre Plus or your local
authority's Housing Benefit section how this will affect your benefits.
Financial help for disabled students
There is a range of additional support available for students with a disability who are studying a Higher Education courses.
Disabled Students' Allowances (DSAs) are grants to help with the extra costs a student may face because of a disability.
Conditions covered include long-term illnesses, mental health conditions or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia.
If you qualify for DSAs, they’re paid on top of any standard student finance you get. You can apply to Student Finance England for DSAs when you apply
for student finance. The amount you can get isn't affected by your household income, and the allowances don't have to be paid back. Part time students
can apply for:
- Specialist equipment – up to £5,161 for whole course
- Non-medical helper – up to £15,390 per year
- General – up to £1,293 per year
Please note that the college cannot offer additional learning support to HE students who have not applied for DSA.

Please note that if you started your programmes of study at the College prior to the 2012/13 academic year, a different set of fees and funding rules will apply.
Part time students earning below a certain income threshold are entitled to apply for a grant, part time learners cannot apply for fee loans.
